Hazal Halistoprak will present her joint work with Benita Combet and Malte Reichelt, titled "Gendered Career Aspirations in Male-Dominated Fields: Unpacking the Role of Biased Self-Assessments in the Tech Sector", at several academic events this spring: Workshop on Experiments and the Study of Social Inequalities at FAU on 28 April, followed by the International Meeting on Experimental and Behavioral Economics (IMEBESS) in Valencia, Spain from 22–24 May 2025, and the URPP Conference on Gender Issues in Education and the Labor Market in Zurich, Switzerland, from 1–3 June.

Timon Drewes was invited to Berlin to the Federation of German Rural Youth (BDL) e.V. to give a presentation to the “Jugend macht Politik” working group on how the world of work will change and which skills will be relevant for employees in the labor market of the future. A particular focus was on the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on the world of work. The ideas were discussed together with the working group and reflected on considering the challenges in rural areas.

On November 12, Malte Reichelt will present joint work with Christoph Müller (IAB) on Islamist terrorism and its effects on the employment of Middle Easter men at the The Institute for Empirical-Analytical Research (InFER), based at Goethe University Frankfurt.
