Process / Supervision
General:
- The process of applying for a supervision should be started before the semester, during which the thesis is written (see below)
- In addition to individual meetings to discuss the progress, you need to attend the BA-thesis seminar (Link to studOn). The seminars will be held either by Prof. Martin Abraham, Prof. Tobias Wolbring, or Prof. Malte Reichelt. Please inform yourself where to enroll before the semester begins.
- Grading period: usually 4-6 weeks, max. 2 months (according to examination regulations) after thesis has been handed in
Typical Procedure:
1. | Information on thesis topics[Link to topics] on the website of the assistant professorship |
2. | Contact: Please send an e-mail with a brief description of your motivation for the respective topic to: malte.reichelt@fau.de

3. | Initial Consultation: clarification/specification of the topic, outline of the research question |
4. | Exposé: basis for the Bachelor thesis |
5. | Consultation (and/or written feedback) on the exposé |
6. | Consultation on methodology (design, recruitment strategies, measurement, etc.) |
7. | If required: Consultation on data analysis |
8. | Formal Registration of the Bachelor thesis: at the latest 9 weeks before the end of the semester |
9. | Send first version for feedback by e-mail
